There are Instagram-worthy photo opportunities spread throughout downtown Le Mars for your fun and festive family pictures. Many of them will be available throughout the entire Christmas season.

The Wells Visitor Center & Ice Cream Parlor is sparking joy with delicious treats and by recognizing frontline workers this holiday season. Stop in or visit ilovewells.com for blank coloring pages and greeting cards. When colored, return to the visitor center for a FREE kid dip!
Completed cards and pages will be distributed to frontline workers and long-term care facilities to spread holiday cheer.
When returning coloring pages, be sure to try one of their delicious holiday treats! (Coloring activity open to all, but free kid dips available to children 12 and under.)

Grab your coziest blankets, pack the popcorn, and enjoy a Christmas classic all from the comfort of your own vehicle! 🚗 Our Drive-In Movie event is Friday, November 26 at 6:30 pm at Total Motors. Enjoy a safe, fun event for all ages and kick off the holiday season with the iconic Christmas classic, Home Alone!

Parking may be limited so come early to claim your parking spot (as soon as 4:30 p.m.) Listen from your vehicle by tuning into 90.1 FM. Enjoy a complimentary holiday event bag, popcorn, and a water (courtesy of Hardware Hank Le Mars) when you arrive, availability will be limited.

He’s making a list and checking it twice; There’s really no need, because the kids have been nice! Bring your little ones to Habitué Coffeehouse & Bakery to meet with Santa. While they’re on his lap, Mom and/or Dad can grab a Frosted Gingerbread Mocha to warm up with.

Rudolph and crew are busy warming up and doing practice runs, but they sent a couple of their friends! Come visit and snap a photo with Diesel and Branson!

Stores will have the “Find the Joy” picture strategically displayed inside their store. Scavenger hunters, upon finding the picture, will have the store staff mark the appropriate box on their tally card. Completed cards, with each store box marked, should be returned to the collection box inside both the Wells Visitor Center or the Convention and Visitors Bureau to be entered into a prize drawing. Be sure to snap a photo in each store when you “find the joy!”

Join us for our Santa’s Fun! Run! on Saturday, November 27th. Both our 5k and 10k will be chip timed. The races will start and finish at the Olson Cultural Event Center in downtown Le Mars and will lead you through residential Le Mars, onto our recreation trail and the 10k runners will also continue to run on the trail in our beautiful Willow Creek Golf Course. Santa’s Fun! Run! is part of the day-long Christmas in Hometown Le Mars family events, come for the race and stay for the day and celebrate the joy of Christmas in Le Mars. We encourage racers and walkers to dress up in your Santa suit, ugly Christmas sweater, festive socks, and other holiday gear. After your race, you're encouraged to stay for awards and post-race snacks.

Everyone knows that homemade Christmas ornaments are the best way to ensure a tree full of heart and holiday cheer! Join us for this memorable Christmas activity for the entire family.

Neck of the Woods Christmas Trees of Le Mars has put together a simple Christmas Ornament craft for some traditional holiday fun. Bring your family and friends and join us in making some joyful ornaments for your tree! You pick the colors, you pick the design and we will walk you through the how.

We’ve partnered with Neck of the Woods Christmas Trees and have prepared the classic elements of a classic Christmas tree lot. Simply pick your tree, drive up, and load up. We promise you’ll love your tree! Beautiful wreaths will also be available.

The library is pleased to host Dr. Schaap as he shares stories that illustrate the joy found at Christmas. Seating is limited to 18, on a first come first serve basis.
Dr. Schaap is a retired English professor and the author of several novels and a host of short stories and essays. His podcast Small Wonders, a series of historical vignettes about regional history, airs each Monday on KWIT/KOIA public radio in Sioux City, Iowa.

We need a little… “Christmas Now!” The Browns 2021 Christmas Show will be one of their grandest yet!
The show features their nationally released Christmas Album filled with powerful majestic music to make your spirit soar! You’ll hear Christmas favorites like, “Joy to the World”, “Need a Little Christmas Now”, “O Holy Night”, “Deck The Halls”, and “Mary Did You Know?”. The kids will enjoy fun new favorites like “Hot Chocolate” & “The Grinch”. The Browns will break out all 3 of those Violins on “Themes from The Nutcracker”. Beautiful Christmas costumes and brotherly comedy make this show fun for ALL ages! Make your plans for “Christmas Now!”.
